During a work period of five months in Jaipur, India, we ventured into the old local technique of block printing and we discovered incredible fabrics like Khadi. It was important for us to be there, see and learn the whole process, meet the artisans and make sure that everything was made ethically.
Every product you see below is unique due to a manual printing method known as Block Printing: the pattern is transferred onto the fabric using wooden blocks carved in Sanganer, Rajasthan. The printer is a master in lining up each repeat, but sometimes they do not line up exactly. This, to us, is what makes this printing method so beautiful, and one of the main reasons for us to create this collection.
